The Malango 9.99 project has been prepared during two years by idbmarine to answer to requests from many people wanting a Malango with a rear cabin....

It became a reality with the coming together of the naval architect Julien MARIN, designer of famous Class 40, with the architect of Quimper Jacques SEIGNEZ who put his talents at the service of this new sailboat.

Julien MARIN proposed a powerfull hull, able to provide a high level of performance in a very secure boat, Jacques SEIGNEZ imagined comfortable and functional accommodation, and Denis BOURBIGOT validated the solution to propose a clever and fast cruiser.

Standard version : description and inventory

The following information is given as an indication and can be adjusted depending on the evolution of manufacturing or desires of customers.

Hull and deck (vacuum infusion method)

White hull is of single spin GRP (glass resin composite) with local areas moulded reinforcements to strenghten the structure.
White Deck is sandwich construction (GRP + foam), with moulded non-slip finish.
2 lockers, engine control lever, manual bildge pump, cold water cockpit shower.
2 polyester rudders.

Fore Cabin Accomodation

Triangular double berth,
1 hatch (40 cm)

Saloon accomodation

Saloon : symetrical layout with two straight seetees (2m x 0,52m) - moveable wood table with storage, 1 hatch in coachroof.
Table chart on starboard side with space for instruments, 8 switchs 12 V electrical panel protected with breakers, opening TI port in coachroof.

Galley accomodation

Galley on portside with laminate work top and moulded wood fiddles, stainless steel sink,
Two burners gaz hob, 40L top opening insulated GRP icebox, opening TI port in coachroof.
Stainless steel stove with igniter
3 power sources absorption refrigerator (56 ltrs).
100 l rotomoulded water tank.

Heads compartiment accomodation

Isolated Heads compartiment : GRP washbassin, marine toilet,
locker for bathroom accessories,
hooks and mirror.

Aft Cabin Accomodation

Isolated cabin with 200*140 berth – opening TI port in coachroof.

Moteur - Electricité

Yanmard 20cv tri-cylinders with shaft transmission. Fuel tank capacity 60 l.
Engine compartment with foam soundproofing with 4 hatchs for accessibility (each side, front and top)
Two 100 amp service and engine battery, 6 switchs 12 V electrical panel protected with breakers (table chart),
9 electric lights with independant switch.
Navigation lights at the top of the mast.

Rigging

Closed stainless steel pulpit, two sheathead stainless steel guardrails with four stainless steel stanchions each side,
Two stainless steel pushpit at aft end of cockpit.
Stainless steel fittings,jib and mainsail tracks, two triple jammers, sticks Spinloch.
Harken chrome plated winches as followed : 2 halyards winches (30), 2 sheets winches (40).
6 aluminium mooring cleats.

Spars

Anodised aluminium mast 3,5kg deck-stepped with double larges pushing spreaders.
Stainless steel support pillar in saloon.
Anodised aluminium boom with 3 "automatic" reefing lines.
